Quotes from Current & Graduated Students
"I prefer to work at my own pace and I am not competing with anybody else."
" If it wasn't for this program, there is no way I'd be starting college in the fall."
"I am able to get the one-on-one help I need to be able to complete and understand my school work."
Academy Students Learn to Volunteer
Volunteering increases overall life satisfaction and helps you feel good about yourself because you are helping others. The Nekoosa Academy staff and students know this and have made volunteering in our community an important part of our program. We volunteer at the Nekoosa Giant Pumpkin Fest, the ODC's Haunted Warehouse, help administer the Backpack for Kids Program, and other community events throughout the school year.
Successful Completion
Students who successfully complete the Academy requirements receive a Nekoosa Academy Diploma, which is equivalent to a high school diploma and shows completion of the required 21.5 credits. Students have the option to work towards a Nekoosa High School Diploma which equates to 23.5 credits.
