Our Community
The School District of Nekoosa is made up of families from the townships of Armenia, Port Edwards, Rome, Saratoga, as well as the city of Nekoosa. The City of Nekoosa has a population of nearly 2,700 residents. The Lakes area in Armenia, as well as the town of Rome, continue to attract new residents looking for the tranquility and recreational opportunities that water-front property and country life bring. The large area our district covers provides us with a diverse population. Economically, Nekoosa is known for its paper industry and is in the process of becoming more diversified. A new industrial park in the town of Rome has already attracted new businesses and the Ho Chunk Nation continues to be an important part of our economic strength.
